Mostly because it’s a dead time in the NFL for real news, there will be a lot of reporting about the Patriots visiting with or working out certain prospects before the draft. What does it mean? Not much. There’s no correlation between any of those and the Patriots’ interest level.
Good reminder from Bedard, who also goes on to mention how closely the Pats have been looking at WRs. The vaunted double-dip could be coming….

Whether it’s in the first, second or third round, I think it’s clear that the Patriots need to come out of the 2013 draft with a receiver. That, to me, is the most compelling storyline for the club this year because of the limited picks at the position in Bill Belichick’s tenure (nine in 13 years), and also the team’s struggles to consistently draft and develop prospects at the position
