NFLN: The Patriots & the Loss of Moss

Someone asked me yesterday what I thought about what kind of info Randy Moss could give Chilly and pals about the Patriots. I don’t really think it will have the big of an effect. Ultimately it all comes down to execution. The Patriots will change any signals or calls that Moss might give them, and anything else he can tell them, i.e. “watch out for Shawn Crable, he’s an absolute beast”, they’d be able to see on film anyways.

You know BB knows what Moss would be able to tell them, and they’ll plan accordingly. That said, I am with Tedy Bruschi is hoping that they fans at Gillette give him a nice round of applause. Rooting for him was something special, but to be honest, I don’t really miss him.

Aree you saying that Jemea Thomas could be that coverage LB we’ve been looking for?

No, I think he’s probably going to be a slot corner or a safety. Which kind of safety is TBD, although I think the safety depth chart isn’t really divided between free and strong like it used to be. And I don’t really think the need for a coverage linebacker is that big. Mayo and […]
