New England Patriots 2004 Playbook (pdf)

May 26, 2011 by Mike Dussault

New England Patriots 2004 Playbook (pdf)

Here’s something that should get you through the entire lockout! I found this PDF of the 2004 Patriots playbook on a coaching website that had hundreds of them. I cannot guarantee that it is 100% without-a-doubt the actual playbook the Patriots won their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years with, but it’s a pretty interesting thing to flip through regardless.

It gets slowly more and more complicated but early on there’s some really good stuff, like what “Omaha” means. We’ve all heard TFB yell that at the line.

Check it out, there will be a BB-esque test on it at the end of the day.

Thoughts on the Pats losing Vince Wilfork

I’ve been letting it sink in all morning that Vince Wilfork is likely done for the season after tearing his achilles. In some ways losing Wilfork like this almost felt inevitable. One of the big themes I hit on all offseason was bringing in more defensive tackle help to ease the burden on big Vince. […]
