I love Mankins, partly because his name is MANKINS, but mostly because anyone who saw what happened to Seattle after Steve Hutchinson left knows how important a great LG is. Options of what he will say today:
- Excited to announce a new long term deal. Likelihood:Minimal as this kind of announcement would likely come from the team.
- Signing his tender, but unhappy about it. Likelihood: Probably the best case scenario, hopefully it’s a Wilfork-type sitch where he’ll sign but they’ll continue to work out a long term deal.
- F the Patriots, I’m going home. Likelihood: Not great, because Logan would lose over $1.5 million if he doens’t sign the tender. Still, you never know what players are thinking…
