I never like to generalize fans of any team. For every team in every sport (including my beloved Pats) there are delusional aholes, and there are rational fans who just enjoy rooting for their team.

With that said I’m getting the “Uncle Rico” vibe from *some* Raiders fans this week. As if the Tuck Rule is the only thing that held them back from being the dynasty the Patriots were.

“If only that fumble call had been upheld, we’d have beaten the Steelers, and then the Rams, and the Bucs the next year, and the Panthers in ‘03 and the Eagles in ’04…no doubt… not a doubt in my mind. Things woulda been different. We’d have won four straight Super Bowls. We’d all be making millions of dollars, living in big ole’ mansions somewhere with our soul mates…”

It Is What It Is » Sunday NFL Notes: Why new deal for Devin McCourty now would make sense for both sides Tons of great stuff throughout this one. Our “Best of the week” will return the first Saturday after the Super Bowl, just nothing “best’ about the wreckage from the season-ender.
