How do you honestly see this season shaping up? Even though the pats have stolen some great games this year, it seems like the same story as in other years. They have “mental toughness” in the regular season, but in the post-season at the most crucial times, this mental toughness disappears. Case in point the Super bowl 2 years ago, and the afc championship where the VETERAN players were down and out. I LOVE this team. But with the loss of Gronk and the D being inept,it’s going to take a miracle

December 10, 2013 by Mike Dussault

I think that we need to look at the next two games as the climax of this season. If they can win the division in Miami, then beat the Ravens in Baltimore, this is a successful season as I see it.

You’re probably right, it might take a miracle for them to win the Super Bowl, but if we had known the injuries that were coming, we probably would’ve said it would take a miracle to win 10+ games this season as well.

There will be plenty of time to wonder what the Pats will do differently this offseason and the players they’ll lose and add, but 2013 is undeniable proof that they have the right kind of players at their core.

The excitement and anticipation for 2014, with a healthy squad, will be through the roof. For now, let’s just enjoy what we’ve seen out of this team and how impressive a season it has been.

We’ll have to judge this team’s mental toughness in the playoffs by how they perform, but if it’s anything like they’ve done in the regular season, I expect the Pats to go down swinging if/when they do.

A big part of football is seizing opportunity and second-year receiver Kenbrell Thompkins is doing just that. He’s taking repetitions that likely would have been Aaron Dobson’s and making plays that catch the eye. New England Patriots Blog – ESPN Boston
