Hey Mike, with the glaring need at CB, if you could have your pick of this year’s crop of CBs in this draft who would you pick? And who do you think the Pats would take at pick 32 if they’re available?

March 27, 2015 by Mike Dussault

My Top 50 Pats Big Board is ready to drop next week, so there will be plenty of details in there, but my top corner fit is Byron Jones from UConn. Ladarius Gunter from Miami is another one who I think checks a lot of the boxes. I think the important thing to remember is what Devin McCourty was when they took him in the first round – a four down player. Many fans had a bad reaction to taking a “special teamer” in the first round, but that gives you a sense of what the expectations are if they’re going to take a corner in round one.

I continue to be 95% sure the Pats are drafting out of the first round unless one special prospect falls.
