Hey Mike, after listening to Caserio’s presser, it seems to me they’re looking to trade some picks to move up. Anyone in this draft you’d move up for in round 1? Feel like they could package a 3rd and a 4th to move up 10 spots or so. Who’d you like to grab if they did that?

I don’t really buy anything anyone says in the last week before the draft, but any Patriots move up or down just depends on what position the runs happen on early.

As always, we’re hoping for guys at positions the Pats wouldn’t need or take in the first round to get taken – wide receivers, running backs, quarterbacks especially.

I think the only positions to really consider trading up for are cornerback and defensive tackle, and I’d say cornerback is probably unlikely unless they REALLY like someone which we have no way of knowing.  So if DTs start going off the board, I think trading up could make sense.

Otherwise I don’t think the upper echelon of talent is that that much better than second round-ish guys at OL or defensive end.

Chicago Sun Times: Good Belichick – Martz Article

Chicago Sun Times: Good Belichick – Martz Article Pretty safe to assume it’s going to be bombs away for the Bears offense on Sunday. Or as BB said before facing the Martz-led Lions offense in 2006 “they’re probably loosening up (the quarterback’s) arm now”.
