Dunkin’ Donuts Hosts “Give a Pint, Get a Pound” Kick-Off

Blood Drive Event with American Red Cross

All presenting donors will receive a coupon from Dunkin’ Donuts for a free pound of coffee and will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win Patriots postseason tickets

WHAT:  Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on January 2 at the Patriot Place Activity Center to help increase the blood supply and raise awareness about the need for blood. All presenting blood donors at this drive will be entered into a drawing to win Patriots tickets to the January 11postseason game at Gillette Stadium. Four pairs of tickets will be given away.

Special appearances will be made by New England Patriots Cheerleaders, Pat Patriot, the Dunkin’ Donuts mascot and the American Red Cross mascot. Radio station Mix 104.1 will be on site to provide music and giveaways.

For the seventh year in a row, Dunkin’ Donuts and the American Red Cross are teaming up for the “Give a Pint, Get a Pound” campaign, which provides a coupon for a free pound of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee* to all presenting donors at Red Cross blood drives in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont during the month of January. The campaign is in celebration of National Blood Donor Month and helps increase awareness about the need for blood. The campaign has achieved great success during the past six years as Dunkin’ Donuts has provided more than 520,000 pounds of coffee to presenting donors, and if one donation may help save up to three lives, Dunkin Donuts has potentially helped more than 1.5 million patients. Donated blood is used to help accident victims, trauma patients, transplant recipients, and those receiving treatment for life-threatening illnesses.

To find a blood donation opportunity in your area, please call 1-800-RED CROSS(1-800-733-2767)or visit redcrossblood.org.
