Everyone is just blowing off the fact that Wes Welker still led the Pats in catches just nine months after blowing out his knee. People speculate he won’t get another contract, that he’s on his way down.  I don’t buy it.

Personally I think Welker will remind everyone that he was uncoverable long before he had Randy Moss stretching the field. With a full year since the injury and no more knee brace Welker should again top 100 catches and serve as Tom Brady’s safety blanket.
