Do you think that a 335 would be better for the team compared to a 425 that way you get big Vince over center and it will allow all three linebackers on the field

September 8, 2014 by Mike Dussault

Seems like a lot people want to re-evaluate the scheme after week 1, but I don’t think it was the scheme that was the problem.

The problem was missed tackles and penalties, just generally not good football.

34, 43, 25… whatever you want to label it, it’s the same guys and those guys need to play like they’re capable of.

There’s no question the Pats have made some schematic tweaks and I will be curious what the final numbers are on the base and nickel defenses. I’d bet they were closer to even.

I do have questions about their run defense, but they’ve remedied those problems in the recent past. I still think their pass defense will be very good and good enough for a Super Bowl run.

Brady’s “legacy” (a word that should be buried in the sports lexicon graveyard, right next to “respect”) is completely and totally intact. Brady has been in the league for 12 seasons and played in five Super Bowls. Since becoming a starter in 2001, he has played in the Super Bowl for 45 percent of his […]
