Couple of questions: when does actual training camp start? Also do you think they’ll try to push Dobson into the starting job on the outside as soon as possible? And do you think Boyce will be thrown into a pretty prominent role early often? I don’t think they’ll role the dice on Jenkins considering he’s never been a vet productive receiver. And Jones may have potential but I don’t see the pats rolling the dice on him either

Practices open on Friday, July 26th, though the players will be reporting before that for testing.

They won’t push Dobson, he’ll have to earn whatever he gets. He’ll make the team, but nothing will be handed to him. He needs to get and stay healthy first and foremost.

I don’t know if they’ll throw Boyce into a prominent role, but I have a feeling he could earn one. Getting a rookie Deion Branch feeling about him.

I left both Jenkins and Jones off my initial 53, and put three rookies on (Dobson/Boyce/Harrison). They have a good group to throw at the wall this summer. I always prefer a throw the rookies in the fire type approach, but the best two WRs will start regardless.

Just get ready, about a month from right now we’ll see an offense without an identity and everyone will panic as usual. Even if they’re sloppy into September, I think by the time November/December roll around they’ll be fine.

Combination of speed, quickness and anticipation has helped Julian Edelman become one of the NFL’s best punt returners | masslive.com Good read from Nick Underhill about the somewhat underappreciated punt return efforts of Edelman.
