Couldn’t be more confused at all the pats free agency hating. With Sheard joining Nink and Jones we very well may have the most versatile three man edge rotation in the league. Combine that with a red zone offense that could feature Gronk/Chandler/Lafell/Blount and how can anyone not be [bleeping] their pants thinking about the potential dominance?

Come on, what else is there to do in the spring but hate on the Pats’ free agency moves. Except of course in 2007 when the jumped on Adalius Thomas. And how did that work out…?

I still would like to see some moves at guard and running back, maybe some kind of WR weapon via the draft, but yeah, things look good. And really, why wouldn’t they? You could put me at wide receiver this year and the offense would still be pretty good.

I love the Chandler addition and I think with a full offseason we’ll see even more out of LaFell and Wright. And it seems like Amendola really found his niche and Brady’s confidence toward the end of last year.

And I’m pretty sure they’ll be fine with James White and Travaris Cadet at the receiving back role.

This is what they always do. Find undervalued guys and give them team-friendly deals. Some of them will get cut. One or two of them might turn into Ninkovich or Brian Waters or Steve Gregory or any of the other free agent vets who came in for cheap money and ended up playing a role.

Finally, Sheard is a perfect addition, albeit four years later than we all wanted.
