White shared the backfield with Giovani Bernard in high school and was a three-star recruit, choosing Wisconsin over Clemson and Michigan State.
He saw immediate action as a true freshman and although he shared playing time with Montee Ball, White was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year despite being a reserve. White saw his stats dip as a sophomore and junior, splitting carries with ball, but he became the starter as a senior with Ball in the NFL. He and Melvin Gordon combined to set the FBS single-season record for rushing yards by teammates (3,053) – White led the team with 13 rushing scores, earning Second Team All-Big Ten honors. Despite average explosion and speed, he is a big play waiting to happen with his vision, patience and foot quickness to create, running low and making himself small among the trees to pick through the LOS. White is a resourceful runner who also grades well as a pass-catcher and blocker – reliable complimentary back in the NFL and one of the underrated late round RBs in this class.

Draft Preview: Jon Halapio (by FOX Sports)
https://www.patspropaganda.com/draft-preview-jon-halapio-by-fox-sports/
A Tongan-American, Halapio is a hulking short-area guard whose best traits are intangible. Is most effective in a phone booth, but too often looks like he requires max effort to provide adequate blocking. Best chance to stick will be in a slide-protection scheme.
Hi Mike, I’m surprised that the Pats double-dipped into OL, seeing that they have a pretty decent and continuous line from last year. However, I’m loving that they have invested so much into the trenches! What do you think of them going back into the front seven and investing into a LB seeing that a coverage LB is still missing? Any ideas on who? What about SS/TE? Thanks Mike.
The tackle selection was surprising to me, but I can see why they did it and it makes me wonder if Cannon might see some time at guard again.
It also sounds like Fleming could be tried inside. If he projects to guard the move taking two interior linemen makes total sense to me. They needed to reinforce that area in the draft and it’s something I’ve been harping on this offseason.
I’d take a middle linebacker, doesn’t necessarily need to be a coverage guy. A thumper/special teams LB would be fine.
TE and Safety remain the biggest needs.
James White vs Nebraska B10 Championship and Purdue 2012 (by JmpasqDraftjedi)

Since the Patriots haven’t selected a Y tight end, does it give insight into Gronk’s health?
I am a little surprised they haven’t taken one, though in the first draft of my mock draft I didn’t have them taking one until the 7th – Rob Blanchflower.
I think it does give a little bit of insight, but also that they think Hooman is okay. I mean, despite not having Gronk much at all last year, they were still a top offense. And with Dustin Keller still an option, they feel like they’ll be okay.
We’ll see, still a bunch of picks to go.
