The Best, Concise Patriots Season Preview You’ll Read

It’s nice to read something that actually really is fair and balanced and hits all the major issues and questions for a team as polarizing at the Pats. Thanks to How The Pats Draft for the link.

The Sports Hub reported today that Wes Welker will be ready for training camp and not placed on the PUP list which would’ve kept him out the first six games of the season. Welkah’s back! The Pats are coming!

One More Week of Darkness…

July 21, 2010 by Mike Dussault

The week before training camp is hell. There’s no news to report other than sporadic rookie signings so the media has decided to make baseless speculation about if Tom Brady might hold out from training camp due to his lack of a new deal? (Are they doing the same thing about Peyton Manning, who is also without a new deal? Nope.)

There’s nothing left to say about the 2009 season. And we all know the position battles that are upcoming in training camp (I think, maybe I should put together a quick recap?) so there aint much to blog about it.

It’s driving me insane. I don’t know if I’ll make it through another week.

Colts’ Saturday Ranks Big Vince #2

Colts’ Saturday Ranks Big Vince #2

Saturday has played a lot of games in his career against a lot of good teams so this is a pretty good vote of confidence. Also shows why locking up Big Vince was a must this offseason.

Is there a defensive playbook from the pats online to look at? I’ve seen a 2004 offensive playbook online, but I could never find a defensive one.

Closest thing online is this ‘97 Belichick Jets Defensive Playbook. And here’s the 2004 Pats Offensive Playbook. Most interesting thing to study in that is all the different route combinations. Gives you a sense of why the WR position is a tough one.
