ESPN: Patriots Gillette Stadium Ranked #7 Toughest Venue

Seems like Gillette being ranked that high has a lot more to do with how good the Pats have been than necessarily it being an inherently tough venue to play at like Seattle. The Seahawks could be horrible and it’s still loud and often raining.

One voter commented:

Right now, the toughest place is Gillette Stadium because the Patriots have been so great. But if the Pats stink for the next five years, no way that place makes the 2016 list.

We saw enough of Braylon burning Butler in 2010 didn’t we? Especially this one in the playoffs that was a big 3rd down conversion off a broken play where the pressure actually got to Sancheese.

Sounds like Butler was working a lot in the slot at the BC session. Beating out Wilhite for nickel/dime might be his only chance to make it this year. Butler seems like the classic case of a guy with all the athletic talent in the world but he’s had trouble in his first two seasons getting down the mental part of the game. It’s easy to see how those are the kind of guys that can kill your draft because there’s no way to ever know for sure if a guy has the noodle to pick up the system.

Don’t worry, I’m not posting the video of Braylon “Dougie’ing” on him week two.

Mitchell & Ness 40% off Sale on Patriots swag

I don’t condone purchasing any NFL licensed goods during the lockout, but if you must you don’t get a much better sale than this one.

Signs you might be Patriots-obsessed… you can tell which game it is by a simple picture of TFB. 2009 season opener vs. Bills aka Brady’s return, and yes, I was at this one too…

Now to get even more obsessive on you… I have to say I’m a bigger fan of the 2010 throwbacks with the white facemasks and all-the-way-around striping on the shoulders. Oh, and the name plate font is different too. I think I might have a problem…

It’s a good thing we might not have training camp this year, if only for the reason that on rookie hose down day Brady might get a little too excited and try to take things to the next level.

Do you think Ridley goes over 1000 yards again? I’m really curious as to what the running game looks like next season.

That’s a good question, because a lot of Ridley’s yards were the byproduct of the no huddle attack. You look at his 151 yards against the Broncos and most of them were a direct result of the Broncos being totally unable to stop the Pats blitzkreig. So, can he still put up big yards when […]
