Are people starting to get “Gronked” out?

April 15, 2012 by Mike Dussault

I found it funny this morning that both Mike Reiss and Greg Bedard had something to say to Gronk in their Sunday posts this week.

From Reiss:

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who told students at the University of Rhode Island that his injured ankle will be 100 percent within two weeks, is a likeable guy who clearly enjoys what he’s doing. But has anyone else had the thought that it might be smart for him to cut back on some of the off-field stuff that doesn’t always paint him in a favorable light?

From Bedard:

Hey, Rob Gronkowski, you know we love you and your goofy antics. We know you don’t have a malicious bone in your body. But there’s such a thing as overexposure, and you’re right up against it. Time to chill out and lie low, bro.

The biggest problem is that Gronk doesn’t really seem to have a filter, and not a whole lot of thought goes into everything that comes out of his piehole. I love Gronk as much as any Patriots fan, but Mike and Greg are right, he’s teetering on the edge with some of his comments and it’s only a matter of time until something he says really sparks off the kind of negative attention neither he nor the Pats want.

David Harris Addition Solidifies Patriots LB Corps

The Patriots’ depth at linebacker was one of the biggest questions marks remaining with the team, but after signing former Jet David Harris to a two-year deal, they’ve solidified that final weakness and look as stacked as ever on both sides of the ball. After Dont’a Hightower the linebacker corps was extremely specialized. Elandon Roberts […]
