Amendola would make sense as Welker 2.0

Amendola would make sense as Welker 2.0

Um, only it wouldn’t make sense to me at all. The thing with Welker was that Belichick could not stop him when he was with Miami. Amendola? Not so unstoppable. At all. 

And what new dimension to the Patriots offense would Amendola add? Something in between a Welker and Edelman? Plus coming off an injury?  For a second round pick? I don’t see it at all. Can anyone tell me how this would make sense?

The last thing the Patriots need is another slot receiver who can get swallowed up by press man coverage.

How much can we expect continuity on the line to improve the down field passing this year. We ended 11′ with 5 pro bowlers on the line and spent a good deal of time in 12′ with none.

I think we might see the effect a little more in the run and screen game, as they’ll be a little more familiar with eachother and how to block those intricate plays. But it should help in pass protection as well. Continuity is always good. My focus will be on Dan Connolly, and whether or […]
