Absolutely on point with the TFB gifs this morning. Thanks for the help through Friday. Thoughts on him not having an incredibly stellar first quarter of the season? Obviously the inexperienced receivers, the experienced but new to the team receivers, and the injured receivers haven’t helped. Still though, the greatest quarterback of all time is 36 now. Still excellent especially all things considered, but talk me down from the ledge if you would.

Got into this a little bit in my B/R column this morning, handing out grades to each position. I gave Brady an A-. Has he missed some throws? Sure. But I think that’s more an effect of the new receivers than it is Brady slowing down. In crunch time, Brady has come through like he usually does. We can’t expect him to look like he looked 2010-2012. He can get back to that point, but it’s all part of the process at this point.

Let’s see how he looks in the Broncos/Texans/Browns/Phins/Ravens stretch of the schedule. That’s when we’ll get a real sense of where Brady is at and what the trajectory of the offense is. Until Gronk and Amendola are back (and eventually Vereen) it’s tough to be too hard on Brady.

I still think he’s got it and will have it for at least two more seasons.

A fond farewell to the Vermont Academy football program. I’m surprised my horrible defensive tackle play (shown above in the middle in white, getting completely blocked out of the play  by #68) didn’t cause the demise sooner. I didn’t do the Wildcat football tradition any justice, but always sad to see the end of a team […]
