The Patriots beat the Denver doom, baby!

In a game that saw sunshine, wind, and a storm of snow, the Patriots managed a touchdown, a field goal and an extra point to win in Denver.

Obviously, both teams had to play in the swirling snowflakes, but Drake Maye’s legs and Zak Kuhr’s defense won the AFC championship!

Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of congratulations and concerns to go around. Sunday’s game was no cupcake walk, despite what some may say.

But to break the voodoo hold Mile High has is an achievement in itself, and now the Patriots go on to the Super Bowl, baby!

Not only all that, but Drake Maye is the first QB to have played three playoff games against top five defenses in the same post season, all whilst having a dinged-up shoulder too!

Sure, the offensive line still has its issues, and whilst I may have been excited by more fullbackery than you can shake a stick at, with Jack Westover playing 41% of the offensive snaps, Tonga notching up 3%, and Milton Williams 2%… that’s not necessarily the best thing for an offense.

But right now, it’s all gravy baby, and I will take what I am fed!

Because Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye (as well as a huge cast of other fabulous players and coaches) did it again, they smashed yet another hex looming over the NEP!

First, it was the crushing of the Miami curse, the first Patriots win in Miami since September 15th 2019, when the Tom Brady led Patriots played a shut out of 43 – 0 against Ryan Fitzpatrick (and that was before I even started my Patriots content producing journey!). Not only that, but that also meant a win against the thorn in Bill Belchick’s side, a left handed quarterback – Tua Tagovailoa.

Then, it was the successful beating of the Bills in Buffalo that wasn’t just because of crazy weather, with a 23 – 20 score.

This defense has racked up the most wins on the road this season with a 9 – 0 record, Road Waaarrriors!!

Mike Vrabel himself is the first player to start for, and head coach the same franchise in a Super Bowl, and he has three SB wins under his belt as a player.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like the Patriots are well set up for another Dynasty run! Wishful thinking I know. But it’s onto the Super Bowl baby!

Go Pats!

Patriots CB @DMcCourty32 had an MRI today on his ribs, but it’s not clear how serious it is just yet. He did play after he was injured, tho Ian Rapoport via Twitter
