First reported by Field Yates, the Patriots have placed Rex Burkhead, Isaiah Wynn, and Carl Davis on IR.
After all but confirming his season was over this past week on social media, Burkhead’s movement to the reserve list isn’t surprising, Nor is Wynn’s, he also picked up a knock also in last Sunday’s game.
As the offensive line was just starting to get some rhythm, this new problem will cause further disruption to the group, we could see Joe Thuney moved out to cover at the position, or, Jermaine Eluemunor could help out on the far left side.
Carl Davis’ issue with a concussion that led him to miss game time in recent weeks has now landed him on the IR last as well as the two mentioned above. Whilst not an out and out starter on the defensive front line, Davis had been offering good depth support, but will now miss at least three games.
