LIVE UPDATES 🠗
23:28- It’s getting towards 5am here in the UK, I’m going to call it a night unless I hear the Patriots fly back into the late first round this evening. Thanks for tuning in! GO PATS!
23:26- Browns select CB Greg Newsome II with Pick 26.
23:22- Jags take RB Travis Etienne with their second pick tonight, Lawrence’s fellow Clemson Tiger is also heading to Jacksonville.
23:16- A Few more picks have been made, the Vikings select OT Christian Darrisaw, the Steelers then took RB Najee Harris from Alabama with the 24th pick.
23:10- Mac Jones on wanting to join the Patriots all along…
23:02- CB Caleb Farley, another top prospect goes to the Titans at Pick 22.
22:53- Colts select DE Kwity Paye, one of the few edge rushers worth taking in the first round now off the board.
22:50- A Mac Jones conference call is coming up….
22:45- A couple more picks to report on, Washington takes LB Jamin Davis & the NY Giants take WR Kadarius Toney which is a slight surprise. I don’t imagine we’ll see the Patriots again this evening.
22:32- DL Jaelan Phillips goes to Miami with Pick 18.
22:28- Lost my way after that pick, LB Zaven Collins went to the Cardinals and OG Alex Leatherwood is heading to Las Vegas.
22:24- Damien Harris is happy!
22:21- Well, we were oh so patient for this, but the Patriots have their potential franchise QB in Mac Jones, and I am all in. – I need a drink.

PICK 15 – QB MAC JONES
THE PATRIOTS HAVE A QB – IT IS OFFICIAL
22:08- Jets took G/T Vera-Tucker, a solid pick and support for Wilson on the line.
22:08- THE PATRIOTS ARE FINALLY ON THE CLOCK.
22:06- The Jets have traded up to take their second pick of tonight at 14, swapping compensation with the Vikings.
21:58- Second OT goes as Rashawn Slater is selected by the Chargers as protection for QB Justin Herbert. Pats a pick away from their first chance tonight.
21:56- Patriots two picks away from either making a selection or trading down. I don’t get the crowds saying the Patriots have messed this up, they haven’t even made a pick yet WTF?
21:50- Micah Parsons now goes to Dallas, after they traded back a few spots with the Eagles. Another hopeful for the Patriots, now elsewhere.
21:46- Well, Fields not to be for the Patriots, a few tasty players will be available at 15 though, if they decide to stay there.
21:42- Fields goes to the Bears after they give up a LOT. Mac Jones remains.
21:39- The Bears have traded up to 11 with the Giants…
21:36- Eagles select WR DeVonta Smith after trading up with Dallas.
21:32- The Cowboys have traded with the Eagles.
21:26- Broncos take Patrick Surtain II, the other top CB is now off the board, this is getting wild. Both Mac Jones and Justin Fields are still on the board at pick 10. Cowboys on the clock.
21:18- Panthers take one of the top CB’s Jaycee Horn… QB’s are slipping! – Horn was thought of as a real option for the Pats, but he now goes to the Panthers.
21:12- A good point on a potential trade option at number eight…
21:09- Lions pick is in, and they select…. OT Penei Sewell, the QB’s are starting to slip!
21:06- Hmmmmmmmmm…. – We move on.
21:02- Dolphins take WR number two, Jaylen Waddle is going to Miami as a weapon for Tua.
20:59- With the Dolphins not expected to draft a QB, pick 7 could be a potential trading spot with Detroit.
20:56- Bengals take the first WR of the night, Ja’Marr Chase is reuniting with Joe Burrow, his former LSU teammate. So far, so good in respect of hoping for the Patriots to have a chance at a QB.
20:51- The first 4 picks so far..
1. Trevor Lawrence – Jaguars
2. Zach Wilson – Jets
3. Trey Lance – 49ers
4. Kyle Pitts – Falcons
20:49- Pitts does indeed go to Atlanta at pick 4.
20:45- I thought for sure Lance was going for some reason, and got it right! – Atlanta now are on the clock, at any point now Pats could trade up. – If Falcons pick, it will probably be Kyle Pitts.
20:40- 49ers take QB Trey Lance, Pats now on watch!

20:33- Jets select QB Zach Wilson, first two go as everyone thought. Pick 3 is up next, and this is where things could get interesting for the Pats depending on where 49ers go.
20:26- Jacksonville Jaguars select QB Trevor Lawrence… I am so surprised by this.
20:15- The commissioner opens the Draft and the Jags are on the clock, it’s time…
20:00- IT’S DRAFT TIME – HERE WE GO!
19:50- Yep, it might be a little reach, but I’m sticking with my guns and saying the Patriots will take a QB tonight.
19:48- Just for the heck of it, here’s my predicted first ten picks –
1. Trevor Lawrence – Jaguars
2. Zach Wilson – Jets
3. Trey Lance – 49ers
4. Kyle Pitts – Falcons
5. Penei Sewell – Bengals
6. Ja’Marr Chase – Dolphins
7. Justin Fields – Patriots (TRADE WITH LIONS)
8. Patrick Surtain II – Eagles (TRADE WITH PANTHERS)
9. Mac Jones – Broncos
10. Jaycee Horn – Cowboys
19:40- 20 minutes to go, the excitement is starting to fire up now, I have a real feeling that the Patriots will be moving up tonight, it’s going to be a fun few hours.
19:33- With all of the crazy talk surrounding the 49ers with the third pick, let’s see the latest on a possible Jimmy G trade this weekend.
