Week 3 Injury Report – 9/25

September 25, 2020 by Tom Shaw-Mellors

Sunday is upon us, let’s take a look at the final injury report of the week that include the official game status projections.

New England Patriots

OUT
C David Andrews (Hand)
RB James White (Not injury related)
LB Josh Uche (Foot)
DOUBTFUL
NONE
QUESTIONABLE
DL Adam Butler (Shoulder) – Limited today
S Kyle Dugger (Ankle) – Limited today
WR Julian Edelman (Knee) – Limited today
WR N’Keal Harry (Ankle) – Limited today
OL Isaiah Wynn (Calf) – Limited today

News surfaced today that David Andrews had broken his right thumb and required surgery to fix the damage, he’s officially out. A big blow for the Patriots offensive front, the team will look to Hjalte Froholdt to step in at center or call up James Ferentz from the practice squad.

James White is also out along with rookie Josh Uche who popped up on the report yesterday, he won’t make his debut on Sunday.

Four out of the five questionable players were on the injury report yesterday, the new addition, Isaiah Wynn, has shown up with a calf injury, no major concern regarding these, I suspect all will be active come Sunday.

Las Vegas Raiders

OUT
OL Trent Brown (Calf)
LB Nick Kwiatkoski (Pectoral)
WR Henry Ruggs III (Knee)
DOUBTFUL
NONE
QUESTIONABLE
OL Denzelle Good (Thumb/Illness) – Limited today
RB Josh Jacobs (Hip) – Limited today
TE Darren Waller (Knee) – Limited today
OL Sam Young (Groin) – Limited today

Although their report has shrunk in the last 24 hours, the Raiders will still be concerned with a number of players. They’ll be without former Patriot Trent Brown and Nick Kwiatkoski who both failed to recover from ailments throughout the week. The twelfth pick in this year’s draft Henry Ruggs III is another big loss as he misses out with a knee injury.

Some slightly positive news is that Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller were both back at practice today for the first time this week, they’re joined by Sam Young and Denzelle Good who are all questionable for Sunday’s game.

I think given the short week, Gruden has played it safe with his star power offensive players, I’d be surprised if they didn’t play on Sunday, but they may not be 100%.

You can’t say the Pats aren’t sitting pretty on paper. This is a team that came within a Wes Welker drop from possibly winning another Super Bowl. Due to playing in a so-so division and getting to match up with the NFC West, New England seems to have a nice path through the regular season. […]
