Week 3 Injury Report – 9/24

September 24, 2020 by Tom Shaw-Mellors

Big names on both reports for a second straight day, let’s check-in with today’s injury report from practice.

*-Change of status/new addition to report

New England Patriots

DID NOT PARTICIPATE
C David Andrews (Hand)
RB James White (Not injury related)
LIMITED
DL Adam Butler (Shoulder)
LB Brandon Copeland (Knee)
S Kyle Dugger (Ankle)*
WR Julian Edelman (Knee)
WR N’Keal Harry (Ankle)
LB Josh Uche (Foot)*

David Andrews returned to training with a wrap/cast over his right thumb, he also didn’t participate in any regular practice, looking more and more likely he’ll be out this weekend. New additions to the report were rookies Kyle Dugger and Josh Uche, the latter being the more cause for concern and has been limited since camp with various ailments, will know more tomorrow when game status projections are released.

A black wrap/cast covers starting center David Andrews’ right thumb up to the wrist. Andrews (No. 60) was absent from Wednesday’s practice due to a hand injury. He went through drills in the media-access portion of practice Thursday. pic.twitter.com/PNP6osC52K

Las Vegas Raiders

DID NOT PARTICIPATE
OL Trent Brown (Calf)
OL Denzelle Good (Thumb/Illness)
RB Josh Jacobs (Hip)
LB Nick Kwiatkoski (Pectoral)
TE Darren Waller (Knee)
LIMITED
WR Bryan Edwards (Foot)
OL Sam Young (Groin)
WR Henry Ruggs III (Knee)*
FULL PARTICIPATION
S Johnathan Abram (Shoulder)
CB Damon Arnette (Wrist/Thumb)
LB Corey Littleton (Shoulder)
WR Hunter Renfrow (Ankle)
LB Carl Nassib (Illness)*
OL John Simpson (Shoulder)

Not much better news for the Raiders today, their three start players remain on the DNP list for the second-straight day and are now enter the doubtful zone to play on Sunday. Rookie WR Henry Ruggs was limited, but better news regarding LB Carl Nassib who had a full practice today.

I don’t think Brown has much of a play on it, but if one or both of Jacobs or Waller are out, the Pats game plan could change drastically.

Mike, with news of the Patriots bringing in Devante Parker, why do you think they bring in guys that won’t fall to them? Last year Manziel and Bridgewater came in, but they drafted Jimmy G. Does bringing in Parker for a visit show their interest in taking a WR in the early rounds? Maybe a guy like Jaelen Strong or maybe Breshad Perriman if he falls?

Every year we do this dance. The thing that is important to remember is that the Patriots (and every other NFL team) keep track of every other player in the league. So whether it’s a potential opponent or a potential free agent a few years down the road, it’s all due diligence. I think the […]
